It is with great pleasure that I write this letter concerning DK Handy Man, Dave Kassab. Over the last three years Dave has done multiple projects for us from as small as installing a ceiling fan to finishing our basement. In that time his work has always had three characteristics:

I would like to discuss the finishing of our basement since that project was the biggest challenge. First Dave came and discussed what we wanted to do and how we had envisioned the basement looking. During that time he offered some excellent suggestions, never pressured us to upgrade and each suggestion came with an estimate. We did incorporate all of his suggestions, which made the basement significantly better. While in our home Dave was very respectful of our property and we always felt that we could trust him in our home.

The basement was done ahead of schedule and under budget. It has increased the value of our home and our enjoyment of the house. I wish we had taken before and after pictures so you could truly appreciate his workmanship.

I have recommended Dave to all of my friends without reservation. It is hard to find someone whose quality of work, pride in finished product and flexibility in meeting the customers demands is as high as Dave. Add to that the complete trust to have him in our home makes Dave an excellent choice to complete any task.

I have to admit that I am truly amazed with your service. Your range of hours estimate was so different than other estimates I received for my work that I have to admit I was a bit skeptical at first. I hired you because you provided much more explanation of the work process than other contractors, and your high end quote range was similar if not a little lower than the others. However, I still suspected my final charges would be in that high range.

Then you amazed me, not only was the work performed extremely well, but your suggestions on how I could save money on the project ended up costing me less than your low end estimate.

Every contractor I talked to about my bathroom renovation wanted to bring in “extra” help for things like tile, drywall finishing, and electrical and then wanted to tack on extra fees for managing them all. I had a good portion of my ceiling fall down in my first floor due to a leak in the bathroom upstairs. I called them to repair the ceiling, which was around one half or two thirds of the ceiling. I was not aware of the leak and found out that due to the leak, the drip had gotten into the inner parts of the ceiling and caused it to collapse. DK Handyman did some excellent work. I did not realize what the job entailed, but he was able to take care of everything. They were very conscientious about the work and they spent about three days completing the repair. They called to let me know if they were going to be late at all and they went above and beyond to do the job right. They actually deducted from the cost because they were not exactly on schedule for one day, which made me very aware of their professionalism and their desire to please. They were emphatic about having the leak fixed so the work would not have to be done again and I appreciate their diligence because the leak was not easy for the plumber to find. They did a very good job of repairing the ceiling and I would recommend them to anyone. Their prices were very reasonable and I was very pleased with them.
